Today, while driving, my car gave a warning code in the instrument cluster telling me to check the R mirrors turn signal. When I activated the turn signal for that side the cluster's turn signal blinking was twice as fast as normal. In my 300E this would mean the light was out. I stopped the car for several minutes and when I started it back the warning was gone and the signal worked normally.
What is the problem? Lights do not burn out and then work again. Is it some sort of LED? Is it expensive and how do I install it?
