You dont have to remove the motors to see if the work. You can hook them up to straight 12 volt. Just get some long wire and run it to the battery. Take the door panel off and you will be able to see where the wires from the motor run just touch the wires from the battery to those if it moves then the switch is your problem.

Reverse the wires and the motor should go the other direction. It's probably in the switches in the console. Hook passenger side to driver side switches. Next would be the wires (that's when it becomes a difficult job).
