That is not the first time it has happened. Also remember when taking a threaded item loose, loose is always counterclockwise, (ccw) and if occasionally you run into an exception to that, it usually will be noted on the item, like "turn this way to remove". Those Mercedes 300E engines really like that synthetic oil. I just changed mine to Mobil 1, and I can feel the difference.
