I have an 87 300E (W124), starts when cold, then won't start again for awhile. On following tries, it sputters, kind of coughs. Had the fuel pump, fuel pump relay and overload switch changed a couple of years ago when it was doing something similar...could those parts go bad that fast...have not been using the car much.
