A friend of mine has a 1993 Mercedes 300E, 2.8L engine and wants help removing the transmission. I have done this job on my older '72 250, so I'm a little familiar with the procedure (hardest part was getting the starter off and the upper bolts). Can I do this w/o removing the engine? How tough a job is it? Steps? Thanks.
