Actually, the W123 turbo diesels (82-85 300D) are roughly 13 seconds 0-60. I think the W126 (300SD) is more like 14-15 seconds. The only one near 11 is the W124, 1987 300D with the 6-cylinder OM603 3.0L engine (aluminum head, 148hp) - factory spec is 10.9 seconds 0-60. The wagon ('87 300TD) is 11.9 seconds. The 1995 E300D (OM606, 24-valve 3.0L non-turbo, 134hp) was about 13 seconds 0-60. The 1987 was the king of the speedy diesels until the 1998-99 E300 Turbos came out (same OM606 engine as the 95-97, but with a turbo added) - these babies were around 8 seconds 0-60 while getting 40MPG+ on the freeway! Bummer MB won't import diesels anymore... there's an awesome 4.0L V8 CDI diesel on Europe that we can't get here. Not that we can get ANY diesels from MB in the USA anymore...
