Here is a tip... when I drop a car off at a mechanic I open the hood with him there and snap some digital pix of the engine and whatever he is supposed to be working on. That way I am covered if he rips it apart and says "it waslike that" Having him watch me take the pictures makes him understand not to try to pull that *****.

For your exhaust restrictions try making a probe out of a coat hanger and stick it up the tailpipes. I bet he stuffed a rag up there. Probably is blocking one pipe.
