The fuel is cut off after 2 secs by the HFM/SFI modules mapping.. it needs a starter activation to resume and then it need an RPM and MAF input to continue running.
The 2 secs is just to get fuel rail pressure pre-sart.
If you are having fuel problems , there is a test port on the fuel rail
here are the specs:
FP @ idle with vac to regulator..3.2-3.6 Bar
FP @ idle w/o vac , 3.7 -4.2 Bar
FP > 2.5 Bar after 30 min rest.
