The phone rang at 2.30, it was my grandmother in Houston. She called in the middle of the night to tell my mom Carlin had died. Back in the early or mid 1970s when my mom was a teen my grandparents got her in to see George Carlin, after the show my mom bought some of his cassettes that were being sold in the lobby. +/- 35 years later my mom still has the cassettes, she just found them a few minutes ago. Isn't it something. My grandparents say things are so conservative these days that most parents wouldn't let their children be exposed to a George Carlin.

George meets God.

God: Invisible man-in-the-sky, eh? How 'bout them apples. I dunno George, do you think I ought to take 40 years of blasphemy lying down?

George: Could I have my pork chops now?
