It must be rough.
We've got about 150 members, about 1/3 are active. It's a working club with a dock and launching/hauling railway for boats up to 30' but most members with larger boats keep them at the shore anyway. It runs the gamut from seed peddler to custodian to electrician to HVAC to lawyer to physician (in no particular order
) and everything in between. It's as much as a social club as anything else. We're just south of Hartford on the CT River so it's a good 2 hr. cruise up from L.I. Sound which is why the real cruisers keep their boats downriver leaving us river rats to run the asylum.
