Got the mount out without too much difficulty. Now I have some strong opinions on the easiest way to do this and a few things I would like to add to the descriptions others have posted, but I'll do that later.
Now the problem is I can not get the threads on the 8mm bolt to catch. It came out nice and smoothly so I have no reason to think anything is stripped. The threads on the bolt look fine. I am
frustrated!
