Neil, as others have mentioned, yes it can be done... you'll need to fabricate throttle linkage for the mechanical 603 pump, and an air-to-air front-mount intercooler will NOT fit under the stock front bumper. There's room for a small side-mount IC in the right pocket, but it would be only adequate for stock power levels (<200hp). The 603 IP will need some custom modifications with larger pump elements if you want more than ~175hp. I wouldn't even think about trying to make the 722.6 tranny work, just use the 722.3 tranny you have in the car now. I've got photos of various intercooler setups on my website in the 'SuperTurbo' directory, including some pics of the W140 with the 606 swap (note that the guy who did that swap did NOT modify the IP, or even increase fueling on it... he wasn't interested in power, just reliability.)
