The San Jose area VTA has a few light rail lines but there are usually more people in the car I'm driving than riding the light rail.

One of the changes over the years is that the average worker can't depend on making a career out of a job. If I know I'm gonna retire where I'm working now, I can move closer and commute to work. I'm not going to move every couple of years because I'm forced to find a new job that often.
