Same here, IIRC the cops were *******s when I was young and immature but they seem to have wised up a bit over the years.
In my past life I had to deal with them regularly to handle vandalism, theft and trespassing and have met a few that definitely have the potential to be grade A jerks but in my experience they don't last long if there is a decent chief/sheriff in command.
