You are most likely correct on your diagnosis. Check in the engine compartment for an auxilary two fuse box. One fuse is for the radio, the other is for the electric antena if you have one. These original ceramic fuses corrode on the end and loose contact. Try twisting the fuse to renew the connection. If this is the problem clean or replace them!
