My 76 y/o father is on the "no fly" list. Is actually someone who's name is similar to his who is apparently 40ish, but causes a hassle at EVERY check in. Not possible to get automated boarding passes for him or anyone else traveling with him.
Filing TSA's paperwork to remove himself from the list resulted in increased scrutiny at check in. The supervisors supervisor now has to sign off on it.
Why dont you research whether anyone has ever sucessfully removed themselves from the "no fly" list.
