I put it to you that the opiod given to a guy with a broken leg stopped the pain. Why is that not a "cure"? I'm saying that stopping the pain is NOT NECESSARILY a cure. You need to know the root cause of the pain BEFORE you can cure it. In this case, fix the broken leg and then give the pain meds. Just giving pain meds is masking the problem.
