w126 Memory Seat issue

I searched and didn't find anything applicable....so, here goes.

Coda's driver memory seat function use to work until I removed the seat last go around. Let's put it like this, I had jumper cables attached to the battery and my voltmeter leads attached to the jumper cables, and I was trying to adjust the seat because I already had the seat out.....YEAH, I know now which plug provides power to the seat, but at the time I'm sure I put 12volt (? amps) across the control plug leads.

Anyone want to second my opinion that I probably fried the memory circuit board?
KEY QUESTION: Will a w126 memory board from some other model work in my 300SDL? Like say a 420SEL, 500SEL, 560SEL?

EDIT --- Futher analysis reveals the passenger memory seat works just fine. In addition, all of the motors work just fine on the driver's seat. The driver's switch has (and continues to have) issues. I sprayed some contact cleaner into it and that fixed the reclining motor not wanting to sit up straight.
