I know that CM is south of the Mason Dixon line, but I did not know that. In fact, I have never before heard of Cross Junction VA. I have motorcycled out to Winchester and overnighted in Paw Paw WV (a friend of mine has a cabin up there) while traveling down to TN. VA is a big state, with interesting borders.

We are dominated here by NY & Phila media markets. Hence, the subconscious tends to view this area as within those "borders" . And being on a southern peninsula surrounded by water on three sides, we are inclined to look north. Does that make any sense?
