If you click on the "23" you get a message that the part isn't valid for your car. This may be a mistake in the catalog.

I tried it on a 420SL and came up with 000 990 24 50. If your dealer is still dazed and confused, tell them that it can be found as #25 on the same radiator parts diagram for a US SL500 or 600.

The Search function on the EPC is good for cross-referencing a part across models.
