Yup, few people here own a CDI or newer. There are other MB forums out there who have more CDI and Bluetec owners. You can also check out Edmunds for consumer reviews. I generally find those helpful.
My W210 hasn't given me much trouble with electronics. Only the ignition switch doesn't recognize when the key is out but that doesn't really affect anything.
