I also purposely didn't pick the top line Neptune. Mine is digital but not as complex as the top line model.
I've heard that some Maytag front loaders were having issues with getting the clothes moldy, but I can't imagine that happening unless you leave the wet clothes in there for a few days.

Take a close look at the design of the door seal. Some will retain water at the end of the cycle. This is probably where the mold comes from. If you have that design seal, the easy solution is to leave the door open when not in use so the water can evaporate.
