Well Tom this is pretty conclusive proof that meddling with gear ratios does have a real upside. I suspect with a turbo engine you might have even got a couple of miles more per gallon. For quite awhile a lot of members thought changes were not worth the effort milage wise.

I always felt I would be pleased enough with the noise reduction alone. The increased milage just a bonus. When your arm tires from shifting the five speed transmission I can help.
