There was a gentleman just fishing to find the worth of his 240d with a five speed transmission about a year ago. He did not really want to sell it but was pretty persistant about finding it's value. Since he was also a long island resident I have to wonder if this was the same guy. There are not that many around so it is possible.

I kind of questioned his mental stability at the time and believe he might not have been aware that his methology was not a good way to establish the value.

In the final anylasis it is what a buyer is willing to pay and a seller will accept. Everything else is just guesswork and he would not describe the general condition of the car. Other than the car was worth a fortune just because it had a five speed. Kind of like the general condition of the car in his mind was irrelevant to the price.

Perhaps he can respond to the above on this site. I suspect it was here he asked his question before. Since I missed the listing does anyone know what he was asking?
