Technology may be making our lives easier, but it's also dumbing us down and making us softer. My better half is about to enter UTA masters program for cultural anthropology & sociology. She pulled this one on me a few weeks ago:

- Here
- What's Gary's phone number ?
- ***-***-****
- Ok, what's his cell number ?
- Um, GARY (SEND) ?
- Dana's number ?
- Um, DANA (SEND) ?

I got her point. I don't need to remember because the phone remembers for me. I'm 41 and still reasonably sane (?). When I was a teenager and before the cellular influx, I knew everyone of my friend's home and work numbers without question. Now, without my cell, and Verizon's Back-Up Assistant if it's lost, I'd be lost.
