A good question about manual transmissions..

Alright, say any of us diesel heads get ahold of a nice five speed like a 717.x or even better, a GL275.

Now this is really only for the ones intending to make power with their engines... will the clutches that are available even hold up?

In theory, wouldn't a performance clutch be required for anyone making over, say, 160HP? Are they available? Can other clutches assy's be adapted?

This consideration just stopped me dead in my tracks in search of a (rather pricey) gearbox.
