i pulled each switch, including the hazard to no effect whatsoever. I did not actually disconnect each switch socket as I did not have the time. I did jiggle the wires that go into the socket. no effect.


here is another thing: i now notice that when i put the fuse back in, and then turn on the radio (which is on the same fuse), that there in electrical pop when turning the radio on and off coming through the speakers that was not there before. this suggests perhaps a grounding issue?

btw, that fuse is always live (ie, small sparks occur whenever i take the fuse in and out of the clips), even if the key is removed from the ignition. i know that might be normal as the radio needs a trickle of charge as might the rear light switch.
