We have a 1997 c280. I notice that occasionally, when I press the remote key to open the door, the trunk will open too.

However, I cannot make the remote key work to open the trunk itself. It seems that there is a method of making it work for this. Perhaps the number of times it is pressed or the lenght of time pressed triggers the opening of the trunk. I don't have the instructions on how to use the remote key for its various functions.

Can anyone help.
