It is in everyone’s interest to pursue ways to decrease expenses. If fuel expenses can be decreased on a personal and national level, by the simple act of running adequate tire pressure there is nothing wrong with suggesting that folks do so.

There are many areas where we can decrease consumption. Reminders from prospective government employees on how some of these may be achieved is worth while and a benefit to all.

The bigger issue seems to be that our country has for so long promoted excess consumption in almost every way, that too many folks are lost in a sense of self-righteousness for doing the same things they always did.

One thing that would clearly be helpful for several contributors in this thread is to get outdoors and go for a walk. Heated passions over nothing are often a sign of needing a change of routine.
