Sl600 asr

The unit I'm talking about is on the drivers side, it has the throttle cable and linkage connected to it. There is the throttle body butterfly valve on the inside. When you take the aluminium cover off there is a set of plastic gears and a circuit board inside. There must be a solenoid in there too as the gears do not engage when the linkage is actived. There is a matching box on the opposite side of the engine that is the throttle body/butterfly valve. I know these control air intake into the pleneum. It should be the same as a 500 or 300 unit. The ASR light is on and will not turn off at the switch on the dash. Any ideas. Thanks, Brad
