I was just about to to plunk-down $1350 on a 'mate' for my 560SEL tomorrow - but a coupe is so hard to resist - & unfortunately the guy asking $1500 for his 560SEC is 3K miles away in SoCal. Damn!

I've tried combing all threads, but I don't seem to see your total mileage listed anywhere. Did I miss it ? Also, I read your description of potential injection problems, but wonder what the bottom-line might be? Could the car handle 500 miles as-is to get it home, or is this really a local sale/repair-first (or flatbed) situation?
