Depends...I've seen the click stay like that for ages, I've seen it progress in a matter of months.. Either way @ that mileage his reverse clutches will be Spent and given the driving the car experiences the rest of them will be tired as well.

Short distance/stop and go is considered to be extreme duty...and yes, that had a Direct effect on why all the head work was required. We just had an M104 in, 305K on the clock..head gasket was leaking and All it needed was exhaust guides, everything else was Beautiful..! This fellow drives all over the country, lots of long distance (and by his account high speed!) which is where these cars are truly in their element.
