I live in a seaside resort area......and we receieve NO benefits from the summer invasion. Only the propriators on the boardwalk help that community in their tax benefits. Because we do not live in that town......we just get to put up with all the tourist fall out. Especially since there is a drought emergency in our state. We have been asked to cut down on water usage everywhere. No car washing, lawn watering, shorter showers, etc. However, who moniters the tourists when they stay at the motels and contuniue to deplete the supply that we are trying to save?
I chose to live here and we love our home....However, the tourists clog our roads, invade the stores and crowd our waterways. We have become prisoners of our town on the weekends...and it has already started!!! Sorry about the rant........I know how you feel......and we receive NO benefit from them at all........only what the leave behind....and that's not even their money!!
