I hope someone can help me. I own a 97 Mercedes 4x4 RV 410D. The engine is an original, reliable but puny 100 hp. During a trip from Zurich to Lisbon the engine just couldn't muster enough pep for the highway, especially uphill. Pretty sad when 18 wheelers fully loaded keep passing you! I need some tuning suggestions.

I would like to add as much horsepower as possible. I only 4x4 occasionally. So top end speed and uphill pep is a must for long trips. I would even consider replacing the engine but not sure I could install a sprinter engine due to engine compartment size limitations.

Also any suggestions on soundproofing engine noise? I still have a headache from the trip!


My truck is a sheep in wolf's clothing. I want to change that!
