Right, what u need to chack is if u have spark and fuel, u should be able to here the fuel pump buzz b4 u turn the key, u can check if ur gettin spark by the plugs, check if there wet meaning no spark or dry meaning u aint gt fuel . . I had the same problem with my 2.3 16v w201.
