Most likely your problem with tomatoes lies somewhere else. I've had good growth this year.

It's an interesting time right now as far as climate goes. We have this record greenhouse effect in human history and at the same time the Sun is very weak. So we have this mild greenhouse if you will and it fits perfectly with the local weather that I've been observing. This summer we broke the all-time record for the number of consecutive days with highs in the 90's or above, but there were no significant heat waves, just constantly hot.
