For what it's worth, I have had three of these cheaper switches fail within a few thousand miles of installation. They were all installed correctly with an alignment pin as described in the MB service procedure. New shift bushings were installed in all three cases. Close examination of the third failed switch revealed that one of the 4 connection pins was loose in the plastic housing. I did not open up the switch, but my guess is that the internal contacts separated from the pin. I have not had any problems with the MB switch.
