The answer is yes and yes, but it probably is easiest to get to the main line from under the hood - there is a "Y" coming from engine vacuum, one goes to the door system, the other to the heat/AC system. Just try pulling one line and plugging it - if the doors still lock you've probably got the right one. (There is also a line that goes to the vacuum reservoir, but I think it's further down the line, on the door vacuum side.)
