Patagonia is great also. I had a similar one of theirs for a long time. But it didn't launder quite as well. Both have a lifetime guarantee. LandsEnd probably a little less expensive.
I was going to recommend the same jacket.

Lands End Squall jacket. Perfect for what you are looking for. It is the most versatile jacket I own.

Can't beat the price at $59.50 either.
