240 transplant....found an oddity.

Last night, in my "make one outta two" 240 D project, I pulled instrument clusters. The donor motor/car had 88K actual, and all service records, and a reciept for a $1200 brake job, so I figured I'd swap the speedos (already switched F brakes/suspension/control arms/spindles, etc, and the rear brakes complete).

I hadn't noticed until I had both clusters on the bench. The '78 cluster has an oil pressure gauge that reads in psi. In all of the Benz cars I've had/worked on, I've never seen one that read in anything other than the standard 0-3 bar.

Some sort of a late '70's oddball? Just curious.

If anyone needs....this (hideously rusty) donor car has an exceptionally nice blue interior with exception of the dash top and left seat back. Carpets aren't even dirty......it sat parked outdoors since '88 after a light sideswipe.
