Thanks all. Swamp, your exploits are one of the reasons I actually tried to make it to the last GTG

25+ years in operations/production management and program management. Been working from home as a PM for the past year plus (engineers in CO, Ops guys in CA, customers all over the US and Europe, and contract manufacturing in China. New (slash and burn, cut costs to save the CEO's job type) VP came in, told me (and the next two most expensive guys in his group) to go find new work.

Challenge finding anything here in CT seem to be:

1) the few manufacturing gigs that are left are in tiny places that can't afford to pay me and my ex-wife

2) damn near all of the program management gigs are in IT and/or insurance - and there are a dozen or more guys with my level of experience actually in IT/Ins applying for each of the spots out there. My background is heavy in tech, and the HR dweebs on the front line tend to toss my resume from the pile because I've not actually worked for one of the big insurance guys before.

Anyway, the spot in Maryland plays damn well to my strengths - and it is looking very much like me and the darling missus will actually be able to buy a house. The rebuilding continues - the damage done by the ex WILL be overcome!
