Mercedes did not produce an specific AMG model on the W140 as it started doing with the W220 (like the S 55 AMG).
AMG versions at the time were, when factory ordered, done to individual customer specification. That is, the car left the factory as an standard CL 600 (in your case) and then the owner will specify from a long list of AMG options what he wanted fit (from body, engine and chassis modifications).
Hence, many W140 AMG modifications were only optical (no engine or chassis upgrades).
To be sure, you a need a production option card for the specific vehicle from AMG.
