Diesel 911- you may have the same issue( probably not, I think they all do to some extent) , but there is no external band adjustment on the later 722.3xx tranny commonly used on the W123 and W126 turbodiesels.
This is on the 722.1xx trannies used on OM615 and 616s and non-turbo OM617s.
