Good job I paid attention to words of wisdom - I plugged the two thick yellow lines ( on my 84 they are attached to a dashpot then go off into the firewall - plugged them with the dashpot and plugged the line /4 way tee where they plug - car now shuts off

what do you think ?

As his would say to me the ignition switch is working - and I was certain I had all the doors settled - why I looked to the dash as the culprit
