On my 89 300SEL the drivers side power window operation has problems. The window rolls down normally. When the window is rolled up it travels to the end position and as soon as it reaches the fully closed position a big sound is heard from the door panels. It seems that the motor tries to drive the window even when it has reached the closed position.
