the interior was the solid center thin striped edge cloth combination i saw on some vintage AMG ads, that more than anything made me think it might be right. the trunk didnt have extra holes when I pulled off the AMG badge either. the front wheels also looked like a set of honeycomb wheels in the ad. the steering wheel is the four spoke version like POS's above with the four horn buttons but it has a round recess with a badge of some Duetcher wheel maker. there was no AMG marking on the serial plates and I didnt see an extra serial plate. the rear spoiler was completely wrong, the rear and side ground effects looked like 190E parts, the front was torn off. it had a 4 speed not a 5 speed. I would tend to think that its not a real one, but I got all that was valuable that I wanted anyway, the rust was terminal
