The engine & trans assembly was $650. I made the adapters myself. This is not an easy swap. 1.5 years ago, this was legal to do in Maryland. The emmisions-people said bring in the e-notice when you get it, we walk out, verify its a diesel, and make the change in our system. Now, knowing Maryland, this swap is probably illegal, and is punishable by a $10,000 fine and removal of one testicle.
January 1st, my truck is "historic" (20 years old). No emmisions. No state safety inspections, so I'm waiting if I finish the truck early. Below is a link to the build thread.
