I was the same way. I figured for a few years things would be slow in the RE world, but still manageable. And until last month I had no reason to beleive this wasn't going to be the case.

Now I'm preparing for the worst while crossing my fingers hoping it isn't to bad.

The plan right now is to go with the flow, if I can still build and sell houses I'll do a few next year as planned. If not well, plans change. For worst case I'm working my hardest to finish school in the spring, because if the **** does hit the fan, going any longer may not be an option for awhile. A lot of old timers I know never finished there education because of the depression.
