I agree with Boom


I have great respect for all the backyard mechanics who can modify engines, and the smart people who can design these new ones. But we already have electric motors that are incredibly efficient, make very little if any pollution, have only one moving part, last 10 times longer with 1/100th the maintenance. I know, it's all about the batteris, but if we had anywhere near the R and D put into batteries that has been put into IC engines, we would have electric cars that would outperform IC cars x 10.

It took one guy to developed the battery for GM's EV1. An awesome battery, ask Chevron, they own it.
