Well, I've just gotten back to my SL500 problem (my wife got real sick the day after my original post, and I've been at the hospital for weeks)
I just realized this am that the infrared light key gadget is not working....I tried to lock the door with the light, and it does not work. I went and got new batteries for it, and it still does not work. I'm thinking my problem is related to this condition with the infrared light...?????Any thoughts from you guys? By the way, thanks so much for your responses, I have printed them out in case I need to try them. But for now, I'm really thinking I've got a minor gliche with the key light.
